ABOUT
Terri Lloyd Dip MA MBACP is a fully qualified therapeutic counsellor for adolescents and freelance neurodiversity consultant specializing in ADHD. She has over 15 years’ experience of working with teenagers and young people in schools and the voluntary sector providing counselling and therapeutic support, and working with charities providing support to parents of children with disabilities.

Terri’s journey took a different turn when schools began to refer teenagers who presented with challenging behaviour, couldn’t stay in the classroom, and presented with difficult behaviour that resulted in the risk of exclusion. Quite by coincidence at the same time parents of children with ADHD were also being referred to her via the charity, seeking support and advice to help them at home.

Recognising the need for more support for children with ADHD and their families Terri then embarked on furthering her career by providing specialist support to families affected by ADHD. In 2018 she successfully gained a distinction in her MA in special and additional learning needs, this has provided the academic understanding and a psychological basis for the interventions when addressing specific behaviours presented in individuals with ADHD. She completed training in various parenting programmes and is one of the few facilitators trained in delivering the 123 Magic behaviour modification programme in the Republic of Ireland. Not only has Terri delivered numerous parenting courses both in Ireland and the UK, Terri has also facilitated countless support groups for parents of teenagers and children with ADHD and mentored students with ADHD in a North London school.
Terri now lives in the UK, alongside her practice near Peterborough she also provides consultancy work for ADHD Ireland providing services and training to schools, colleges and supporting parents and young people affected by ADHD.

Today Terri is passionate about using her wide and varied experience and evidence-based knowledge raising understanding and acceptance of ADHD and supporting young people, parents and schools on their ADHD journey.
